Community Education

We empower local youth and adults to become conservation champions, ensuring that the places we cherish are preserved, even as we seek to enjoy and explore them responsibly.

From teaching clean recreation practices, to weed and wildflower identification, to understanding the threats posed by invasive species, we provide people of all ages the opportunity to engage with and learn more about the natural world.

When their education trailer rolls in, kids and adults alike are curious to see what it’s all about and enthused to learn! The impact that trailer has on the Gallatin Valley is incredibly immense. GCD is grateful to have Grow Wild as a reliable conservation partner, to learn from their resources, and to simply be around their infectious energy.

~Bea McNamara, Education and Outreach Director, Gallatin Conservation District

Having Grow Wild come and help with our Spring Field Trip was amazing! Jen created activities and games that were engaging to the students and created unique opportunities for them to learn.

Grow Wild is community centered and helps a future generation of Montanans to be mindful of our environment and be responsible citizens.

~Robin Hooper, 2nd grade teacher @ Ridgeview Elementary

Grow Wild was the perfect addition to our first grade field trip. Jen had wonderfully engaging volunteers, games and lessons...We were enamored with the education trailer. Students were able to see up close Montana native and noxious flowers and identify which ones they had seen before. My students especially enjoyed the Aquatic Invasive Species activity where they learned about the importance of Clean. Drain. Dry.
